NOTICE OF THE 37TH ANNUAL GENERAL
MEETING (AGM)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that
the 37th Annual General Meeting of the Young Members Committee (YMC)
will be held on Monday, 4 July 2022 at 6:15pm at Level 8, The Wave, 4 Hing Yip
Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong for the following purposes:
- To receive and confirm the
Minutes of the 36th Annual General Meeting.
- To receive and adopt the Annual
Report of the YMC for Session 2021/2022.
- To receive and adopt the
Financial Statement of the YMC for Session 2021/2022.
- To elect the Chairman and
Committee Members of the YMC for Session 2022/2023.
In case of adjournment of the AGM,
members of the Committee shall check on the Institution’s website at http://www.hkie.org.hk and the YMC’s website at http://ymc.hkie.org.hk of the revised venue, time and
date for the adjourned AGM.
Members are advised to wear a surgical mask to attend the AGM. All
members are required to use the “LeaveHomeSafe” mobile application when
entering the venue. Members are required to comply with the requirement of the
Vaccine Pass. For details of the Vaccine Pass, please refer to the Government's

Nominations
for Chairman and Committee Members
Chairman
The outgoing Committee has decided to nominate Mr Thomas LAM Chun Ho for
election as the Chairman for Session 2022/2023.
No other nomination has been received from members by the
nomination deadline.
Committee
Members
The outgoing Committee has decided
to opt for the maximum of 15 Committee Members. The seven Committee Members who
will continue to serve on the Committee are: Mr Arthur
CHAN, Mr Tommy CHAN Tsz Ki, Ir CHEUNG Tin King, Mr Holman JIM, Ms Keiko KAM
Wing Sum, Mr Jacky LIANG Ki Kin and Ir Chris MAK Chun Kwong.
The five
Committee Members who will retire from the Committee are: Ms Eileen CHENG Yuk
Hung, Ir Stanley LAI Ho Keung, Mr Thomas LAM Chun Ho, Mr Vincent POON Wing Ho
and Mr Ackle SHAM Cheuk Kiu. Mr Benny
CHEUNG Wing Lai and Ms Evelyn WAI Yi Kwan will retire voluntarily by end of the
Session. Mr Justin PANG Ho Yin has resigned from the Committee.
Hence,
there are eight vacancies of Committee Members for election.
The outgoing Committee has decided
to nominate the following two candidates for election as Committee Members for
a three-year term: Ms Carmen LAM Ka Man and Ms Cindy TSANG Mei Wai.
In addition, the following six
eligible nominations for the post of Committee Member have
been received from members by the nomination deadline, namely, Mr
Xavier CHENG Wing Hei, Mr Donald KWAN Ho Man, Mr Henry KWOK Chun Hin, Mr Gordon
LEUNG Jing Shang, Ms Terry TAY and Mr Owen WAN Cheung Chun.
