In
recent years, countries
around the world have been striving to develop smart cities by embracing innovation and technology
to improve city management,
build a strong economy and enhance quality of living of the citizens
in a modern city.
The Hong Kong Government has commissioned a consultant to
assist in formulating
the overall development framework of the Hong Kong Smart City Blueprint. The
scope of the consultancy study includes policy objectives and strategies, development
plans, governance arrangements, digital infrastructure, open data sharing and
public-private collaboration. PricewaterhouseCoopers
Advisory Services Limited was appointed for this research in September 2016 and the study report was submitted in June
2017.
In
this seminar, the speaker will share the major findings and proposals from the
study as well as updates on the Smart City development.
