Ir Dr FC Chan is the Past President of the Hong Kong Institution of
Engineers. He is an Electrical Engineer and throughout his career, he has been
involved in various management activities, including business process
re-engineering, quality systems management, contingency planning and
procurement

Deep
learning has in recent years attracted a lot of attention in both the academia
and different industries, as it has been proved to be very useful in a wide
range of domains, ranging from computer vision, natural language processing,
speech recognition to game playing.
In
this seminar, the speaker will give an overview of deep learning and some other
topics in the latest development of deep learning. Some applications of deep
learning in different domains will also be discussed.
