Programme Highlights

Sustainable development is becoming one of the most important themes for engineer’s design. This seminar would give an outline of sustainability in the aspect of water engineering. The seminar will be divided into two parts.


Mr. Kenneth Chan, being the Professional Associate of PB in Water Supply and Wastewater, is honored to be the seminar speaker. Mr. Chan will firstly introduce the regulatory changes in UK as commitments under the Kyoto Protocol and responses to the climate changes. There will be a lookup of energy saving measures and incorporation of water saving technology in the market that can help fulfilling the regulation as well.

“Reuse” water is another direction for sustainable development in water engineer as water resource is becoming more limited in this century due to climate change, second part of the seminar will be an experience sharing on large scale reclaimed water project in Singapore.
