Programme Highlights
This visit aims to provide participants with a clear and comprehensive understanding of the infrastructure development in Tung Chung East extension that supports population growth and promotes sustainable urban living.
The site walk would highlight and showcase the notable 1.7km Common Utility Tunnel (CUT), and other essential infrastructure works such as road construction and drainage works.
Participants may:
- Learn more about the Common Utility Tunnel (CUT), how it houses multiple utility systems (power, water, telecommunication, etc.) in a single corridor to minimize future surface excavation and road openings.
- Gain insights into its safety and accessibility for maintenance, and how it improves long-term operation efficiency
- Explore infrastructure works such as road construction and drainage works
- Learn about the engineering challenges during CUT construction

Registration & Enquiries
This event is free of charge and the number of participants is limited to 25. The applications will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis and priority will be given to RYMs. Participants are required to bring PPE on their own (Safety Helmet, Reflective Vest and Safety Boots).
