Programme Highlights
This topic explores how Building
Information Modelling (BIM) and related digital technologies can transform Hong
Kong’s construction industry through better information management,
collaboration, and lifecycle thinking. BIM enables multi-disciplinary teams to
create and manage coordinated digital representations of built assets,
improving design quality, constructability, and transparency from planning to
operation. By promoting common standards, professional competence, and
knowledge sharing, the Building Information Modelling (BIM) plays a role in
driving this digital transition, supporting safer projects, higher
productivity, and more sustainable, data-driven asset management across the
AECO and RMAA sectors.
