Programme HighlightsThis
technical visit to the Shing Kai Road Substation provides participants with a
unique opportunity to explore the critical infrastructure supporting Hong
Kong’s electricity transmission and distribution network. The substation plays
a vital role in ensuring a stable and reliable power supply for the Kai Tak
Development and surrounding areas, integrating advanced technologies to enhance
operational efficiency and system resilience. Participants will also have the
opportunity to visit the Kai Tak Head office.
The visit
aims to showcase how modern substation design and automation contribute to
meeting growing energy demands while maintaining safety and sustainability
standards.
The
participants may:
- Examine the substation’s key components
and layout, including high-voltage equipment and protection systems.
- Gain insights into the latest technologies
for grid reliability, monitoring, and control.
- Learn about the strategies employed to
optimize energy transmission and support Hong Kong’s smart grid
development.

charge and the number of participants is limited to 15. The applications will
be accepted on a first-come first-served basis and priority will be given to
