Programme Highlights
The HKIE-YMC Overseas Delegation is a sustainable programme that arouses
young engineers’ potential in leadership and motivates their vision to learn
from overseas experiences and good practices.
The YMC is set to organize a delegation to the UAE, under the theme
“Engineering Tomorrow: Transforming Challenges into Opportunities”, focusing on
the roles of engineers in addressing global dilemma through innovative
solutions and edge-cutting technologies. The UAE has made substantial
investments in resilient infrastructure and sustainable development, focusing
on energy-efficient buildings and advanced transportation systems to address
environmental challenges. It has implemented innovative technologies in water
conservation, waste management, and renewable energy production to maximize
resource efficiency and reduce its ecological footprint. As urbanization
increases, the UAE is tackling issues like traffic congestion and pollution by
adopting smart solutions, which enhance urban living conditions and promote
sustainability through data-driven decision-making.
The delegation will investigate the UAE’s successful strategies in
resilient infrastructure and sustainable resource management, exploring how.
Overall, this delegation will provide valuable insights into how these
approaches can be adapted for implementation in Hong Kong, fostering
collaboration and knowledge transfer between the UAE and Hong Kong.

Registration & Enquiries
Application is open to all Registered Young Members (RYMs) and the
number of delegates is limited to 16. All candidates joining the delegation
will go through a screening interview by delegation advisors and delegation
manager. Strong commitment to the delegation is expected. For registration,
