Workshop on Contract Law and Arbitration (Jointly organised by AES - YES, CIPHE - HKB YMC, HKBA - YBC and LSHK - YSG)

Programme Highlights

Construction contracts often involve multiple participants, including main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. This complex network can lead to misunderstandings regarding the rights and obligations of each party, particularly due to ambiguous contract terms, which increases the likelihood of disputes. By analyzing construction subcontracting disputes from various perspectives, we can uncover valuable insights.

During the event, we will conduct specific case analyses to deepen our understanding of the practical implications of arbitration in resolving disputes within the construction industry. Following topics will be included in the workshop:

Topic 1: Contract Law in Engineering: Challenges and Solutions

Topic 2: Advantages of Arbitration in Engineering

Registration & Enquiries

Registration is required. The number of participants is limited to 70. Applications will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis and priority will be given to members of AES / CIPHE / HKBA / HKIE / LSHK and supporting organizations.

For registration, please register online through the Online Application Form. Successful applicants will be notified by email before the event. CPD attendance certificate will be distributed in form of electronic copy. Members apply for credits of the Voluntary Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Scheme for Licensed Plumber (LP) shall require addition $100 administration fee.
