Programme Highlights
Hong Kong has been fulfilling a significant
portion of its electricity requirements through low emissions power for the
past thirty years. However, in light of the escalating global challenges posed
by climate change, there is an increasing demand for low emissions energy
sources. In response, Hong Kong has committed to reducing its emissions as part
of its Climate Change Action Plan 2050, aiming for carbon neutrality. This
seminar will examine the current landscape of low emissions power in Hong Kong
and explore the practical opportunities available for the city to achieve this
goal.
We are privileged to host this seminar in
collaboration with the HKIE Nuclear Division, featuring Ir Richard Fung as our
esteemed speaker. With over 40 years of experience in the nuclear power sector,
he has made significant contributions to the field.
