Programme Highlights
As concerns about environmental pollution and climate change intensify,
there is a growing effort to engage the public in understanding and valuing
sustainability. In this context, the Hong Kong Government has unveiled plans
for the region to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Launched in September
2024, the ‘kNOw Carbon House’ serves as a vital resource, providing insights
into how individuals can contribute to this significant goal through simple
habits and practices in their daily lives, facilitated by interactive
exhibitions.
The ‘kNOw Carbon House’ focuses on four main themes:
-Net-zero power generation
-Energy-efficient green buildings
-Waste reduction for all
-Green transportation
Located in the heart of downtown Hong Kong, the ‘kNOw Carbon House’ has
been transformed from the former Wan Chai Environmental Resource Centre. We
invite you to join us for a guided tour designed to enhance your understanding
of environmental protection. This is also an excellent opportunity to connect with
fellow junior professionals who share your enthusiasm for sustainability and
the environment.
