Programme Highlights
A digital twin is a digital model representing physical objects,
products, or systems, which is indistinguishable for practical purposes such as
simulations, integration, and monitoring. The Hong Kong University of Science
and Technology Digital Twin project has developed an integrated platform to
further improve their facility management capability. The Digital Twin platform
will collect data from building information modelling (BIM), geographic
information system (GIS), and various internet of things (IoT) devices and
systems and therefore allow users to perform simulation and analysis of
engineering projects within HKUST premises, as well as enhancing O&M
practices.
This seminar will include an introduction to the development and
application of Digital Twin for the HKUST Campus, where participants can gain
insights on the advantages of using digital twin and its integration.
