Technical Visit to Tung Chung East Reclamation Project and InnoTCE

Programme Highlights

The Tung Chung New Town Extension (TCNTE) is one of the major development projects being taken forward by the Government to increase land supply. The extension in Tung Chung East (TCE) involves the creation of 130ha new land from reclamation. Various techniques and construction methods of ground treatment, land reclamation and seawall construction were adopted in this project. Besides, the InnoTCE of this project incubates more than 30 innovative technologies to improve site management and enhance construction efficiency.

In this visit, participants will be given a presentation regarding reclamation techniques and a guided tour to experience the smart site technologies. In addition, a boat trip around the reclamation site will be arranged to let participants understand  the site operation.

This event is free of charge and limited to 25 participants.  Applications will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis with priority given to Registered Young Members (RYMs).  For registration, please visit:

This event is open to a Best Reporter Award.  The best report will be chosen by the hosts and $500 will be awarded to the winner. For details, please refer to the attachment available at the top right hand corner. 

Participants are required to:

1.  Bring a valid Green Card or equivalent credentials;

2.  Wear their own safety shoes;

3.  hold a proof of negative Covid-19 test result within 14 days or record of having 2 doses of vaccination for more than 14 days; and

4.  Wear a surgical mask during the visit.
