Workshop in Public Relations Skills –How to Face the Public (Jointly Organized by YMC and CPDC) [FULL - APPLICATION CLOSED]

Programme Highlights

Public Relations is a key element of all infrastructure projects.  Today’s society requires young engineers to be well equipped with technical skills, as well as commercial acumen. They need to be able to develop relationships on multiple levels of an organization, with customers, contractors, government officials, media and people who have opposing views.


The workshop aims to provide an overview of the local media industry and the importance of proactive engagement.  Participants will also learn the dos and don’ts in media interview and pick up some tips in handling challenging questions. Besides, tips on how to prepare for organizing a successful public engagement will also be shared.



Speaker:

Ms Sarah Lee

Sarah worked as a journalist for a number of local major newspapers and is the former LegCo Assistant for seven years.  She possess in-depth knowledge of the operation of Government, the political dynamics in Hong Kong, and the media


Ms. Jumbo Tsang 

Jumbo is a versatile public affairs and corporate communications professional with six years of agency and in-house experiences on issue management, copywriting and engagement strategizing.
