Webinar on Hydrogen Power - A Sustainable Energy Supply

Date, time & venue

2020-12-16;18:45 - 20:15;Webinar

Programme Highlights

The transition from fossil fuel to renewable energy is one of the most significant strategies towards zero carbon and sustainability. As the renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, are commonly intermittent, storing the instantaneously excessive renewable energy and converting into useful forms is essential. Water electrolyzer for hydrogen generation and fuel cell for electrochemical electricity supply are promising technologies because they have low-carbon lifecycle. High-pressure vessels and metal hydrides are also well developed for effective hydrogen storage in various stationaries and mobile applications. Yet, there are many challenges in developing novel technologies which improve hydrogen power system performance and increase cost effectiveness. In this webinar, the speaker will present the development of hydrogen economy and highlight the new technologies that will overcome the hurdles towards successful implementation.
