Mentor Recruitment for Growing Partner II - Child Development Fund (2020-2023)
Programme Highlights
Child Development Fund (CDF) seeks to provide the participating children with more personal
development opportunities. Through helping them formulate and implement personal development
plans, CDF encourages these children to develop an asset-building habit and to accumulate savings
as well as intangible assets (such as right attitudes, personal resilience and capacities, social
networks, etc.). All these attributes are useful for their future development.
HKIE YMC is recruiting mentors who would like to provide guidance, in a period of 3 years, to their
children partners (aged 10-16), so that in the first two years mentees can draw up their
personal development plans with specific development targets, and spend their savings accordingly
starting from the middle of second year at the earliest. Mentors would keep close contacts with their
mentees as well as sharing their life experiences with mentees and being their coaches and
source of inspiration.
In summary, mentors provide guidance, support and encouragement to the participating
mentees. The target service district is Kwun Tong District.
