Programme Highlights
The sewage treatment infrastructure in Hong Kong is being upgraded to support the growing population and the territory’s continual development. Challenges are encountered in implementing sewage treatment works projects, including land limitation and the projects being Not In My Back Yard (NIMBY) in nature. In this seminar, speakers will share their experience in turning these challenges into opportunities through adopting compact advanced sewage treatment technologies such as Membrane Bioreactors (MBR) and Moving-bed Biofilm Reactors (MBBR) in the design, and transforming conventional sewage treatment plants into community friendly facilities.
