Programme Highlights
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Treatment and Recycling
Facility (WEEETRF) is being developed at a three-hectare site at the EcoPark in
Tuen Mun, with a capacity of handling 30,000 tonnes of WEEE annually, which can
be increased if needed to meet the demand for treatment services. The design and construction of the facility
has commenced, and the facility is expected to be commissioned in early 2018.
The visit will introduce WEEETRF, project programme, technologies
adopted, an on-site visit for more details in engineering design, construction
and operation of the facility.

The visit is free of charge
and the number of participants is limited to 28. The applications will be
accepted on a first-come first-served basis with priority given to Registered
Young Members. The
visit event is open to a Best Reporter Award. The best report will be chosen by speaker / representatives from WEEETRF
and $500 will be awarded to the winner. For details of the rule of the Best Reporter
