Programme Highlights
Wearable electronics have
received increasing popularity in recent years in the forms of fitness trackers,
smartwatches, virtual reality headsets, etc. At the Hong Kong Polytechnic
University (PolyU), a group of researchers led by Prof. Zijiang Zheng are extending
their applications in the fashion world, by integrating the intelligent
flexible and wearable electronics into electronic textiles. Their projects are
bringing innovative and cutting-edge solutions in communication, actuation,
energy, data management, and biological sensors for medical purposes.
Through this visit, participants
will have the chance to take a closer look at the state-of-the-art technologies
with Prof. ZHENG, who is the Associate Director of RI-IWEAR, the Associate
Director of UMF, and the Chair Professor of Soft Materials and Devices at PolyU.
Best
Reporter Award
This visit is open for
a Best Reporter Award. The best report will be chosen by the host organization PolyU,
and $500 will be awarded to the winner. For details, please refer to the
“HKIE YMC Rules of Best Reporter Award”.
