Programme Highlights
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) contains harmful
elements like heavy metals and greenhouse gases, and thus, requires careful
handling during disposal. Since its opening in 2018, WEEE•Park has been
using state-of-the-art technologies and world-leading facilities to transform
WEEE into valuable secondary raw materials through a series of detoxification,
dismantling and recycling processes.
Through this visit, participants will gain a better understanding on the
complete treatment and recycling processes of WEEE, such as air-conditioners,
computers, monitors and washing machines.
Registration & Enquiries
The captioned event is jointly organized by HKIE-CPDC and
HKIE-YMC. No enrollment fee is needed, but participants
need to cover their own transportation cost. Shuttle bus will be arranged
between Tuen Mun MTR Station and WEEE˙Park. The number of participants is
limited to 30 and the participants should be responsible for their own Personal
Accident Insurance prior registration is required. The applications will be
accepted on a first-come-first-served basis with priority given to Registered
