Programme Highlights
Recently, the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Hong Kong
Polytechnic University has developed the world's first ammonia-powered vehicle
fuel cell. This newly invented fuel cell is safer and less bulky, also at a
much lower cost to produce electric power for vehicles, compared with other
existing sources of energy.
With a view to putting forth the Climate Action Plan
2050 of Hong Kong, this visit will introduce the comparative development
potential between hydrogen and ammonia as energy carriers and the potential
challenges.
