Programme Highlights
Central
Kowloon Route (CKR) is a 4.7 km long dual 3-lane trunk road connecting the Yau
Ma Tei Interchange of West Kowloon with Kai Tak Development Area and road
network of Kowloon Bay. The route, including a tunnel of about 3.9km, can
relieve traffic congestion on the existing east-west roads across Central
Kowloon and enhance linkages between districts.
The Kai Tak West (KTW) work scope comprises the construction of
Ma Tau Kok Access Shaft for Central Tunnel, a cut-and-cover tunnel at Ma Tau
Kok and Kowloon Bay, an underwater tunnel in Kowloon Bay and depressed roads at
Kai Tak.
A presentation will be given to the participants on the project introduction
and highlights, followed by a guided tour of the site to understand the site
overview and daily operation.
