Programme Highlights
To support
the sustainable development and the land utilisation of Hong Kong, the project
of relocating the aging Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works to cavern was
implemented by the Drainage Service Department.
In this
visit, various new technologies adopted in the largest ongoing cavern
development project in Hong Kong will be introduced, such as Building
Information Modelling (BIM), Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) as well
as the design principle, the innovative environmental protection measures and the
construction technologies of the relocation works.
A
presentation will be given to the participants on the hard rock excavation
method and project highlights, followed by a guided tour of the site to
understand the site operation.
