Webinar on “Design and Construction of Modern Data Centres”

Date, time & venue

2022-07-14;18:00-19:15;Webinar

Programme Highlights

Data centers are infrastructural hubs storing substantial amounts of digital information and serving as the foundation of digital services like cloud computation, decentralized finance, and network/ business applications. For the sake of business expansion under the new normal, digitalization urges demand for both the government and large enterprises to adopt massive data-processing solutions, thus prompting the construction of data centers. The construction project of data centers itself represents a unique cross-disciplinary collaboration between engineers of various disciplines, to manifest the optimal user experience, while being economic and robust. The webinar on design and construction of modern data centers introduces the project life cycle of such a construction project from planning to handover stage, explaining design considerations and project management strategies, in contrast to typical building projects. The webinar would also feature practical examples of recent practices, and new guidelines of such unique projects with regard to international standards.
