Programme Highlights
Central Kowloon Route
(CKR) is a 4.7 km long dual 3-lane trunk road connecting the Yau Ma Tei
Interchange in West Kowloon with the road network at Kai Tak Development and
Kowloon Bay in East Kowloon. The route, including a tunnel of about 3.9km, can relieve
congestion along the existing major east-west corridors and enhance linkages
between districts and underpinning various developments in Kowloon.
The Kai Tak West (KTW) work
scope comprises the construction of Ma Tau Kok Access Shaft for Central Tunnel,
cut-and-cover tunnel at Ma Tau Kok and Kowloon Bay, underwater tunnel at
Kowloon Bay and depressed roads at Kai Tak.
The visit will include
an introduction of CKR and a bus tour to the tunnel between Ma Tau Kok and Kai
Tak.
