Programme Highlights
Innovation, infrastructure and investment are the key drivers of a city’s development. Innovation creates new technology and better solutions to tackle social and environmental challenges, and infrastructure provides the essential facilities to serve the basic needs of society and enable the access of information. While innovation and infrastructure support the development of each other, they require a strong ecosystem to support their activities through investment in education, facility and the industry.
The HKIE-YMC and HKIE-CPDC jointly organised a year-long study that included a review of the current status in Hong Kong and to make recommendation for the future. After organising a range of local seminars and visits and a 9-day trip to Israel, the delegates will share their insights on the potential of introducing new technology and startup ecosystem to Hong Kong, and how Hong Kong shall be developed to become a smart and innovative city.
