Programme HighlightsHKIE-YMC is going to participate in the coming meal-boxes distribution to people in need for “Pei Ho” (北河). We are now calling for volunteers.
Sham Shui Po, a district famous for retailing of computing equipment, is also named as the poorest district of Hong Kong. Poverty has been a serious issue in the local community and, in some cases; residents may be even struggling with obtaining basic necessities, including food.
Pei Ho is one of the local restaurants in the area and the owner, Ming Gor (明哥), has been contributing free food to the underprivileged in the district since 2008. Despite the economic pressure to his business, Ming Gor believes “oneself for others” is always the core value of his business and personal philosophy.
