Programme highlights
As a professional Engineer, professional writing is a “must” to express ideas clearly and is one of the tasks of HKIE Professional Assessment (PA). To help Engineering Graduates, this workshop aims to provide them with tips for effective report presentation and essay writing in PA including:-
- Examples of topics
- How to structure the essay
- Tips and examples on the PA essay writing
Participants will write a short essay in 30 min on a given topic, which will be marked by the speaker and emailed back. Highlight on competence-based assessment will also be addressed.
Speaker
Ir Dr FC Chan, Past President of HKIE, is an Electrical Engineer and has been involved in various management activities, including business process re-engineering, quality systems management, contingency planning and procurement. In 2001, he obtained the Master of Arts in English for Professions with Distinction. He has published over 60 papers and won the HKIE Transactions Prizes in 2003 and 2007.
