Programme Highlights
Evaluative mediation has been promoted by the Department of Justice in recent years with the aim to gain efficiency and effectiveness, starting with specialised IP (Intellectual Properties) disputes. The crux to success in evaluative mediation lies with specialisation in custom-designed mediations by mediators with expertise in the relevant subjects. This event is supported by the HKCAC.
Speaker
Dr CHEE Wai Hung Simon is an Architect, Authorised Person, Arbitrator, Adjudicator, Mediator, Dispute Resolution Advisor / Dispute Avoidance and Resolution Advisor, and an expert witness. Having acquired his MAArbDR, LLM(Dist) and Doctor in Juridical Science, he delivers lectures at various universities in Hong Kong. He is the founder / President of the Hong Kong Construction Arbitration Centre, Limited, and Chairman of the HKIA Contract and Dispute Resolution Committee. He is currently a Professor (law) of the Department of Building and Environment of the HKPU Spring classes for undergrad and post-grad programmes.
