Programme Highlights
Young or Ready Series is set out to assist graduate members to equip
themselves to the route of a professional engineer in different disciplines. This seminar will focus on the Geotechnical
Discipline. It will be delivered in the
form of experience sharing and question-and-answer session by two experienced
assessors and a fresh Corporate Member in the Geotechnical Discipline
(MHKIE(G)).
This seminar will introduce to young members:
- Route to obtain Corporate Membership in HKIE
- Suggestions on training focus
- Plan and
prepare for the Professional Assessment
- Continuous professional development
Speaker(s) Profile
Ir Dr. Eric LI is a practicing geotechnical engineer and was the
Chairman of the Geotechnical Division in 2007/08. He is currently the
Managing Director of Halcrow. He has conducted Professional Assessments
in Civil & Geotechnical Disciplines for more than 10 years, and seen many
successful cases and common failures during the period.
Ir Vincent TSE was formerly the Deputy Head of the Geotechnical
Engineering Office. He had worked in the GEO for over 30 years and his
experience covered all the functional areas of the GEO and the geotechnical
practice. He has regularly served as a Professional Examination Assessor
in the Geotechnical Discipline since 2000. He retired from the civil
service in December last year.
Ir Judy NGAN is MICE and MHKIE(G). She obtained the MHKIE(G)
qualification in 2015.
