Highlights
The recent advancement in operation technology and IoT undoubtedly
offers higher efficiency in data retrieval/monitoring, assisting organizations
to enforce better decision making. While more and more companies and
governments are implementing operation technology and IoT, such application of
information technology includes risks regarding data leakage, stolen
identities, hijacking and software corruption. To avoid compromise in the
control system, it is crucial for engineers to familiarize with and practice
good cyber security measures when including information networking systems
within operations. The webinar on cyber security in operation technology and
IoT first covers recent case examples of cyber attacks, challenges and risks of
implementing operation technology and IoT, well adopted practices of cyber defense,
and practical methods of implementing cyber security practices on different
levels.
