Programme Highlights
The workshop aims to enhance participants’
understanding of the issues related to challenges from the changing environment
faced by professionals (public relations practitioners and engineers). Through project
case studies and interactive group discussions, participants will be able to
understand the strategies and tools for engaging stakeholders with an aim for
delivering projects.
In recent years, engineers are required to
face the public to explain the project technically but in an understandable and
concise way to non-professionals. Most importantly, they have to create
meaningful dialogue between an organization or developer and the communities
involved, so as to respond to opposing voices from the public, various
stakeholders, media or government officials, as well as minimize potential
conflict.
Both effective public consultation and
early stakeholder engagement for any major infrastructure projects which would
directly affect the public during construction are critical to the success of projects,
because they determine how your company and the proposed scheme are perceived
by the community.
